The wings and the stabilizer should always be on the same side. The trim and balance point should be in the centre of the wing, otherwise it will only be able to fly straight. You can also put a pin on the top of the rudder and a hook in the middle of its nose. Tighten it with rubber bands, and let it hang. Then to add balance, add wooden screws on the tips of the wing on the lower side. Now take it up in the air and follow a few instructions on how to manage the control surface.

You should increase the down thrust only when you open throttle. But when you close throttle, reduce the down thrust. If you feel that the plane is a little tilted, you may add a light weight to one of the wing tips. Basically, you can use wooden screws on either wing to give it the necessary balance it needs. If you keep an eye on the rudder, it will help you a lot. Do this when in neutral. If you find it a bit off, then adjust the thrust accordingly, to increase or decrease it. Initially, it is wise to stick to a stable speed limit and travel mostly in neutral. This does have a positive effect on your plane. Finally, always trim or balance when the fuel tank is nearly empty, as the tail gets heavier. This in turn helps you.
